Our Ultimate Checking Account offers unlimited check writing with no per-check fees and unlimited transactions at Northern State Bank’s ATMs with our Debit/Check Card.

A non interest-bearing account, Ultimate Checking offers convenient bill paying service on-line and monthly statements, which include copies of cancelled checks. Accounts can be opened with a minimum $100 deposit and a cash reserve Line of Credit is available, if you qualify.

Our Premier Interest Checking Account offers unlimited check writing with no per-check fees and unlimited transactions at Northern State Bank’s ATM with our MasterCard Debit/Check Card. There is a $100 minimum to open the account and a cash reserve Line of Credit is available, if you qualify. A minimum balance fee of $12 will be imposed every month if the balance in the account falls below $1,000 any day of the month.

This account also gives you interest on your deposits. The interest rate and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is determined by the bank and can change at any time. Interest is compounded daily and credited monthly. Interest accrues on the day of deposit.

Our Platinum NOW Account offers unlimited check writing with no per-check fees and unlimited transactions at Northern State Bank’s ATM with our MasterCard Debit/Check Card. There is a $5,000.00 minimum to open the account and a cash reserve Line of Credit is available, if you qualify. A minimum balance fee of $15 will be imposed every month if the balance in the account falls below $5,000 any day of the month. This account also gives you interest on your deposits. The interest rate and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is determined by the bank and can change at any time. Interest is compounded daily and credited monthly. Interest accrues on the day of deposit and this product has a tiered rate structure.

If you are 50 or older, this is the account for you. Enjoy the same great benefits of our regular checking account and also receive free wallet style checks, no-fee travelers checks, and free notary services.

This interest-bearing account requires a minimum of $100 to open and a minimum daily balance of $500 to obtain the annual percentage yield.

Value Checking requires no minimum monthly balance. There is a low monthly maintenance fee of $3.00, which includes eight (8) paid checks per month and a $.50 per check charge for all checks over eight (8) per month. A minimum of $100 is required to open this account.

This type of checking is appropriate for the person who writes very few checks per month. It offers the convenience of a debit card and monthly statements, which include copies of cancelled checks.
